Automation of man-hour aggregation has reduced overtime by approximately 35%! / Oki Group

Achieve the streamlining of dispatch operations and the reduction of labor hour aggregation tasks! Consolidate data into "Daily Report 365" and enable integration with business systems!

This is a case study of Oki Group Co., Ltd., which specializes in high-altitude work and has achieved a reduction in overtime hours through the streamlining of the arrangement process for 1,400 skilled workers, including subcontractors, real-time tracking of arrangement status, and automation of labor hour aggregation. The challenges included wanting to simplify the complicated arrangement tasks using Excel, reduce the labor hour aggregation tasks that were causing overtime, and have real-time visibility of the arrangement status. After implementation, arrangements became easier with the use of smartphones, and the automation of labor hour aggregation resulted in approximately a 35% reduction in overtime hours. [Background of Implementation] - Until the end of the month, it was not possible to know the exact number of workers at each site, so the situation had to be checked by contacting the site every time an arrangement was made. - Management of arrangements was done using Excel, which required the cumbersome process of entering and verifying information with each modification. - Manual aggregation of monthly labor hours for over a hundred sites forced the person in charge to work overtime at the end of the month. *The case study may differ from the latest version of the product specifications. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of automation in component insertion process: Prevention of incorrect loading of similar parts, improvement of traceability.

Presenting a collection of case studies! Examples of enhanced traceability through systematization.

We would like to introduce a case study on the automation of the insertion process by JUKI Corporation. Since the insertion process was performed manually, it could not be systematized, leading to delays in identifying defects when they occurred, which sometimes resulted in significant issues. The introduction of "IFS-NX" has helped prevent the incorrect installation of similar products and contributed to the improvement of product quality. Additionally, it has enabled rapid detection and removal of defective parts, significantly enhancing the speed of problem resolution. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Challenges in manual parts management ■ Solution: Strengthening traceability through systematization ■ Effect: Improved traceability and efficiency *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Automation case of parts insertion process: Prevention of work stoppage due to parts shortages and improvement of production efficiency.

Presenting a collection of case studies! Examples of improved production efficiency and strengthened management systems through systematization.

We would like to introduce a case study of automation in the insertion process by JUKI Corporation. Due to the lack of coordination between the manual insertion process and parts management process, work stoppage time caused by parts shortages was a challenge. Furthermore, there was uncertainty about how to advance systematization and automation, which hindered efficiency improvements. As a solution, we implemented the M50, JaNets, and the parts management ISM series. By strengthening the coordination between the parts management process and the manual insertion process, work stoppages due to parts shortages were eliminated, leading to improved production efficiency. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Decreased production efficiency due to work stoppage time and human error ■ Solution: Strengthening process coordination through systematization and automation ■ Effect: Enhanced production efficiency and management system *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Pile Construction Management Automation System "Pile Driving King PLUS"

Contributing to work style reform through labor-saving and efficiency improvement! Remote operation is possible from iPad and mobile devices! Achieving improved work efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.

"Pile Driving King PLUS" is a new management system that improves the accuracy of pile construction by utilizing a 3D system and a total station with a camera. Pile construction is challenging because it is difficult to confirm the quality of work and correct defects after construction. Therefore, ensuring thorough construction accuracy and creating construction records are essential. Additionally, to address the pressing labor shortage, there is a demand for increased productivity through the introduction of labor-saving methods. By using four major measurement functions developed in-house, the need for an observer for the total station is eliminated, allowing for further efficiency. By sharing the screen among the measurer, the constructor, and the pile driving machine operator, management without time lag becomes possible. Since we produce in-house, we can incorporate feedback from the field into development in real-time. [Features] ■ Measurement by process is possible (drilling, pile setting, pile embedding completion, etc.) ■ Measurement discrepancies can be seen just by looking at the screen ■ One-man pile center measurement is possible ■ No observer is needed during pile measurement ■ Continuous measurement can be performed without stopping the pile driving machine *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Visual inspection is actually moving towards automation.

Automation of inspections enables cost improvement and stabilization of quality!

Visual inspection faces challenges such as "difficulty in securing personnel," "individual differences in inspection capabilities," "increased likelihood of defective products when fatigued," and "maintaining concentration." There are also concerns that while the number of inspectors is limited due to infection control measures, production volume cannot be changed, leading to increased costs and potential damage to quality and trust. In this context, automating visual inspection using cameras, conveyors, and robots can provide a solution. For more details, please refer to the catalog. [Challenges of Visual Inspection] - Difficulty in securing personnel - Individual differences in inspection capabilities - Time-consuming personnel training - Increased likelihood of defective products when fatigued - Maintaining concentration *For more information, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
